I have a dresser by C.A. Strack and Sons from York, P.A. The dresser/desk is in fair condition I’d say. I know the company is really old, but not sure what the dresser /desk could be worth. Any one who is familiar with this type of furniture have any idea?

Where can I find an old fashion dollhouse?

I’m looking for an old fashion antique doll.(Furniture and dolls DO NOT have to be included). It’s needs to look realistic or in other words a shrunken old fashioned house back from the 1930-1950s. And its needs to be cheap but it can be worth “money” I guess you could say. I mean it can be a little expensive but I’ve been on e-bay looking for some and I’m NOT paying $500+ for an empty(or fully furnished) doll house. Please help! It needs to include AT LEAST 5 rooms:
Bedroom
Bathroom
Dinning room
Kitchen
A den area ( like chairs and couches for company)

I have been operating for over 20 years, selling new and used furniture, antiques and odds and ends basically a thrift store environment, now I see these type of stores popping up everywhere. Well I have 6000 square feet, I rent AS IS the building needs renovating and I need to get the word out in a big way, but have no capital, any suggestions.

I have been cleaning this guys house for 18 years. He is now on his thrid wife since I have been there. He and his newest wife (of about 4 years) are incorporating houses and they are adding lots of new knick knack, furniture etc. some of the stuff is coming from his mothers two houses. She is in a nursing home and won’t be coming out. I have asked this guy how is mother is doing, as I have met her a few times over the years. Everytime I ask him he says “oh we are just waiting for her to die”..Tells you what kind of person he is (although he has always been nice to me).. Anyway, with all this new stuff they are bringing in….the put a fireplace screen around a raised propane fireplace. The screen is the type where the two sides fold in. Then infront of the wobblly screen, they put three glass candleholders. Well when i was dusting this new screen, i did not realize that it was so wobbly so I grabbed one side of the screen and the other side hinged backward and knocked two of the candleholders off of the fireplace down about 18 inches to the floor. needless to say they both broke into about a hundred pieces. I put the pieces of glass into a plastic bag and left it on the fireplace. I wrote a note explaining what happened, that I was very sorry, and that I would pay for them if he wanted me to. I called him the next day and said Hi Joe, how are you? he said, well i’m doing better than my wife. and he explained that she had just brought the candlesticks home from his “dear” mothers house this weekend, and that she was looking up the glass on the internet and that I shouldn’t worry about it right now. He said he told his wife that she should not put out anything thats valuable. NOW like I said I have been cleaning this mans house for 18 years and have not broken one thing in the past..and now all of a sudden this glass was his dear mothers antique candleholder. Now keep in mind that in 4 years I have never met the new wife. She seems to uppity to be concerned about me. I am willing to pay for the candlesticks, within reason….but it bothers me that he may be trying inflate the cost, especially when i know how he really feels about his mother. I do feel that if he asks me to pay, even if it is a nominal amount I will no longer be working there. I feel 18 years without breaking anything, is a pretty good record and accidents happen. He has recommended me to four of his friends, whom I did not have time to clean for so it tells me that he is happy with my service. … Please give me your thoughts..thanks
